Product Description

Over 15 billion cork wine stoppers are produced worldwide every year. These natural cork mats are made in Portugal from the remnants of the wine cork production process. Mats are made from high-density FSC-certified cork. The cork oak tree is a slow-growing tree that may live for 200 years, which allows it to be stripped, on average, 16 times during its lifetime. Harvesting does not harm the trees and uses no machinery. These mats protect flooring and furniture and are absorbent and durable. Great to use as placemats or use under house plants.
