Our partnership with Trees for the Future -- Changing Lives and the Environment

This is why, for over 15 years, EPP has partnered with Trees for the Future, an incredible organization dedicated to improving the livelihoods of farmers facing economic and environmental challenges by revitalizing degraded lands.

The Impact of Every Order

In 2008, EPP launched a program where, for every invoiced order, no matter how big or small, one tree seedling was donated on behalf of the customer toward the organization’s Forest Garden Approach. The Forest Garden Approach was developed to restore infertile farmlands, improve soil health, and support sustainable agriculture for communities worldwide.  

A personalized certificate is sent to our customers, highlighting their contribution to improving sustainable development and global environmental stewardship.

The Forest Garden Approach is more than just planting trees. This powerful initiative has transformed the lives of farmers in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, paving the way for them to secure economic stability and receive educational resources to maintain the health of their agricultural lands. This reflects EPP’s deep belief in corporate social responsibility, prioritizing people and the planet over profit.

Update to Tree Planting Initiative

EPP is evolving its tree planting initiative to give our customers an even greater opportunity to partner with us for a better planet.  

Starting in October 2024, for every order over $10,000, we will donate ten tree seedlings on behalf of the customer through our ongoing partnership with Trees for the Future. Customers will receive a personalized certificate highlighting their support toward the Forest Garden Approach and sharing the total number of trees donated on their behalf based on their order size.

This expanded commitment allows us to make a stronger difference together, play a larger role in global reforestation efforts, and contribute more significantly to sustainable development.  

And yes, we will continue to donate one tree seedling for every order, no matter the size, on behalf of customers who place an order under $10,000.

The Power of Planting Trees

Trees are essential to the health of our planet. They sequester or capture carbon emissions, reduce the impacts of climate change, prevent soil erosion, and support biodiversity.  

Since the launch of its internal tree planting initiative, EPP has helped Trees for the Future plant over 30,000 trees. With our upgraded program, EPP is excited to expand this impact even further, helping restore ecosystems and empowering farming communities through sustainable agriculture.

Here are a few examples of the key benefits of our tree-planting initiative:

• Carbon sequestration: Trees naturally absorb carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, from the atmosphere, helping to combat climate change.
• Restoring soil health: Trees improve soil fertility, allowing farmers to grow more food and sustain agricultural yields.
• Protecting biodiversity: Reforestation efforts help restore natural habitats for countless species of animals, plants, and microorganisms.
• Empowering communities: The Forest Garden Approach provides training and resources to global farmers in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, helping them create more sustainable sources of food and income.
